December work

This elegant, vintage styled wired wedding posy is framed with a collar of 'honesty' seed pods. The finishing touch is a veil of soft organza ribbon.

This is a semi-crescent bouquet, soft vintage roses, 'sweet avalanche' and 'avalanche roses were combined with elegant calla lilies and dendrobium orchids.

Christmas decorations

A stunning parallel arrangement with majestic amaryllis and silver sprayed thistles created a wintry effect. I wound silver twine and fabric around the stems to add further interest.

A wintry hand-tied of white carnations created as a radial design. Simple but effective for a table-piece.

Caged arrangement

This stunning arrangement is made by creating a  cage of salix, cornus and equisetum into a pyramid form. Inside the cage are entwined calla lilies, tulips and seasonal nerines.

The design would be perfect for an event/wedding wanting something a little bit different and unusual.

Caging can be made in many forms, shapes and sizes, decorative or plain.

Inspiration for Christmas brides

I just love these combination of flowers and colours. Although the dahlias aren't available at Christmas time the 'Luxor' roses combined with skimmia, spray roses and interesting foliage give warmth to a cold winters day.

Hanging decoration

This is a hanging arrangement that I have recently created. I used a hot glue to create little vases which I then decorated in tiny beads and glitter. The finishing touch was to add roses and spanish moss. The whole effect is perfect for a Christmas theme and could also be hung from a Christmas tree.

November 2012 Horsted Place Hotel

A bright crisp autumn day at Horsted Place Hotel near Uckfield is the setting. The chosen flowers complimented the occasion beautifully, providing warmth and rich tones.
The orange celosia was combined with dark red germini and cherry brandy roses.

Recent work

I have recently started studying at Plumpton Agricultural college taking my level 4 Higher Diploma in Floristry. It is an advanced floristry course specialising in designer techniques. The first week I made this shower bouquet made from a hand-made wire mesh which I then threaded and laced delicate ribbons, threads and grasses onto the bouquet. I then finished the design with adding small intricate flowers such as phalenopsis, ornithogolum, hydrangea heads and spray roses. 

22nd September 2012, funeral work

Always a sad occasion however a delight to be asked to create a beautiful double ended spray suitable for a gentleman.

Combining rich colours of red, purple and blue, using lush 'Grand Prix' roses, blue delphinium and purple lisianthus. A little freesia and September flower finished the spray.
