Recent work

I have recently started studying at Plumpton Agricultural college taking my level 4 Higher Diploma in Floristry. It is an advanced floristry course specialising in designer techniques. The first week I made this shower bouquet made from a hand-made wire mesh which I then threaded and laced delicate ribbons, threads and grasses onto the bouquet. I then finished the design with adding small intricate flowers such as phalenopsis, ornithogolum, hydrangea heads and spray roses. 

22nd September 2012, funeral work

Always a sad occasion however a delight to be asked to create a beautiful double ended spray suitable for a gentleman.

Combining rich colours of red, purple and blue, using lush 'Grand Prix' roses, blue delphinium and purple lisianthus. A little freesia and September flower finished the spray.

Wedding Fair

Rosehip Floral Art exhibited at the Wakehurst Place wedding fair on the Thursday 6th September and then on the following Sunday at Alexander House Hotel, nr Turners Hill.

There were two colour schemes chosen, vibrant oranges and pinks with seasonal flowers such as dahlias, hanging amaranths, lisianthus and stunning 'Miss Piggy' roses.

The other was a soft, vintage look with chosen 'Quicksand' roses combined with soft creams for a delicate bridal bouquet.

21st July 2012, Newick

Newick, East Sussex, a beautiful summers day and a wonderful day for a local wedding. The bride chose stunning vibrant colours of cerise pink with ivory creams. The flowers used were rich 'milano' roses, avalanche roses as well as traditional lisianthus and freesia. Combining a subtle colour of magneta pink gave a beautiful shower bouquet an intricate twist.

8th September 2012

8th SEPTEMBER 2012 - Gatwick Manor Hotel, near Crawley, West Sussex was the setting for a vintage, elegant afternoon tea celebration following the wedding ceremony. The bride and groom had gone to a huge amount of detail, providing vintage tea sets for each guest. The flowers were kept simple, 'avalanche' roses, pink dahlias, lilac freesia, lisianthus and dainty tanecetum. The bride provided  decorated jam jars which set off the tea party splendidly.

1st September 2012, BLACKSTOCK BARN, HELLINGLY

Harmonious colours of blue and orange gave inspiration to a magnificent barn setting. Vibrant blue hydrangeas, 'prima donna' roses, 'avalanche' roses, seeded poppy heads and soft 'pannicum' grasses filled the cream pitcher jugs with seasonal flowers.

The hand-tied brides bouquet was arranged in a loose, natural style and the stems bound in raffia twine.

1st September 2012, Hurstpierpoint

A tranquil, magnificent garden setting in Sussex and the chosen flowers complimented the wedding perfectly. With antique 'amnesia' roses, ivory and cream flowers and the brides bouquet was delicately infused with a little dainty gypsophilia.


Tall lily vases filled the room with fragrant oriental lilies and seasonal gladioli. A touch of brown hypericum and champagne ribbon twirls provided a soft hint of 'brown' to the arrangements.
