The Amex stadium wedding fair in Brighton

Wedding Fair Sunday 13th October

It's such fun creating flowers for a wedding fair when you get to pick flowers and design them to your own special style.

I chose seasonal flowers and complimented my bridal bouquets with the most delightful 'chocolate cosmos', a very delicate, dark red/brown flower.

With flowers to combine, a white/green astrantia, bouvardia, veronica, 'dancing clouds'  and ivory spray roses and a silver foliage the bridal flowers were divine.

And a little one for the bridesmaid.

Impressive table arrangements, a stunning silver candelabra and urn were also decorated with a complimentary colour scheme as well as jewel colours, orange, reds and purples, typically seasonal flowers.

All of which can be hired out for a minimal charge.

My style is to reflect on nature and provide flowers in season.

I like to source a lot of the foliage from local sources, having a productive garden as well as getting a lot of enjoyment walking my dog and finding hidden treasures such as the rich red 'rosehips' that I used in the large urn arrangement.

And rich velvety red celosia and exotic cymbidium orchids are so lucious together.

Beautiful butterfly

Beautiful butterfly tribute

I was honoured to make a butterfly tribute for a lady.

The frame was based with Gypsophila, providing a light and airy texture.

It was great to have the chance to make a wired Calla lily shower bouquet, each stem was individually wired into the finished design.

Summer2014

What a blooming marvellous summer!

Scents
Home grown flowers
Fresh herbs
Blousey blooms
Vivid dahlias
Wild grasses
and more!

The summer months provide the most gorgeous array of seasonal flowers, blowsy hydrangeas, scented sweet peas and vivid dahlias.

The venues have been far and wide, all unique and the flowers chosen selectively for each occasion.

A taste of whats been going on!

Fletching East Sussex

A very hot day in a charming country setting, a marquee was decorated with tall lily vases filled with stunning gladioli and oriental lilies. The colours perfectly complemented the drapes of the marquee.

Hendall Barn, near Uckfield, East Sussex

A classic contemporary choice of vintage roses, amnesia, avalanche and sweet avalanche were the choice for the bridal flowers.

Pelham House, Lewes, East Sussex

A magnificent town hotel was the chosen venue, monochromatic shades of yellows combined with scented garden roses for the bouquet with the brides chosen jugs/vases for the table arrangements.

Swallows Oast, Ticehurst

A wonderful touch, the bride provided home-grown sweet peas which were lovingly grown by her family. They were used throughout the bridal bouquet and table arrangements. The scent was divine.

Cuckfield Church and Slaugham Place

One of my favourite roses, 'Faith', a subtle vintage, rose pink, subtly scented were combined with spray roses, freesias, hydrangea heads and eucalyptus.

The table arrangements were a mixture of tall lily vases filled with pink hydrangeas, roses and faith roses. They were complimented with a lower pedestal bowl arrangement of similar flowers.

Ashdown Park Hotel, Forest Row, East Sussex

An intimate wedding at a beautiful location. Bright vivid dahlias and Milano roses were chosen amongst traditional avalanche roses.

Spring 2014

Weddings and Events

I love these wooden buckets of spring flowers, hydrangeas, Norma Jean roses, Avalanche roses, O'hara roses, astilbe, eryngium and dill.

And a perfect gift to give to those special guests!

And a beautiful bouquet to include white peonies.

Haisham Community College prom

I was invited to create the flowers for a very special event, a prom party for year 11 students. I chose flowers that complimented the decor of the venue as well as choosing flowers that would attract the teenagers eye.
Intriguing celosia, wide eyed gerbera and threaded bear grass with pearl beads to complete the table designs. With a balloon arch and clusters to complete the decorations, the venue looked set for a celebration.

Country wedding

Country wedding in beautiful Sussex

Peonies combined with fresh herbs and lush roses look amazing in a floral heart wreath.

The cake had a cascade of flowers which included stephanotis.

Silver candelabras and hurricane vases with floral wreaths lavishly decorated the marquee.

Bridesmaids and brides bouquets included eucalyptus.

The colour of the door is the perfect background for this beautiful wreath.
